A Traveler’s Inspiration

Kitchen and Living Remodel

  • The Plan

A passion for travel, collecting unique artwork, and capturing an old-world European charm was the inspiration for this eclectic farmhouse renovation.

The challenge was to make a once dark, closed-off space, bright and open while retaining a cozy atmosphere.

  • The Inspiration

Some of the touches that reflect the old-world inspiration include the wood ceiling and beams, eclectic lighting fixtures, and the amazing custom copper sink.

The copper sink was, in fact, the starting point for the accents throughout the space!

  • Functionality

Open shelving also adds to the charm and makes for easy access to bulk items the home owner uses regularly. It also gave us the opportunity to repeat the copper accents.

  • It's in the Details

We created a banquette as a cozy sitting area unique from the dining table, which also acts as a separation between the two spaces. It also gave us the opportunity to bring in the floral pattern – a perfect farmhouse accent.

“The goal was to create a bright, open living area and kitchen while retaining the charm of the home owners’ old-world European inspired aesthetic.”
